How To Apply Sew-In Hair Extensions
Hair wefts can be used as clip-in wefts, glue-in wefts, micro-ring wefts, and sew-in wefts. There are four methods to install hair wefts.
Note: Virgin hand-tied weft bundles cannot be cropped.
Sew-In Method
- Section and Braid: Part your hair and create a section. Use the hair in this section to form a tight braid close to the scalp.
- Measure and Secure: Cut the sew-in real human hair extensions to match the length of the parted section. Use a needle and thread to stitch the weft ends, preventing hair from shedding. Ensure the ends are thoroughly secured.
Glue-In Method
- Section and Cut: Part your hair and measure/cut the weft to fit the section length.
- Apply Glue: Apply adhesive along the upper edge of the weft and the base of your natural hair nearest the scalp. Press the extension firmly onto the glued area, holding until secure.
Micro-Ring Method
- Horizontal Parting: Create a horizontal section and cut the weft to match the part length.
- Attach with Micro Rings: Place a micro ring on a hook tool and open it. Use the hook to grasp a small section of natural hair and a section of flat weft extensions. Insert both into the micro ring, then crimp the ring tightly with pliers until nearly flat.
Clip-In Method
- Horizontal Parting: Create a horizontal section and cut the weft to fit the part length.
- Attach Clips: Sew hair clips onto the cut weft (spaced evenly). Open the clips and secure the weft to your natural hair, following the same method as traditional clip-in extensions.
