The Differences Between Hand-Tied Wefts and Machine-Tied Wefts
Hand-Tied Wefts
Do not confuse hand-tied wefts with machine-tied wefts, which are produced mechanically. Each weft is handcrafted using double-drawn, 100% natural hair with intact cuticles and guaranteed cuticle-correct alignment.
Machine-Tied Wefts
Machine weft extensions consist of hair sewn together by a machine. These wefts are thicker and slightly heavier. Their construction allows them to be cut, making them more durable and sturdy.
Advantages of Hand-Tied Hair Extensions
The key benefit of hand-tied hair extensions lies in their individual hand-stitching. Crafted with high precision, each weft is exceptionally strong, minimizing shedding. Larger in size, they cover more area, reducing the number of wefts needed for installation and alleviating stress on natural hair from heavy extensions that may pull on the scalp.
Our hand-tied wefts are meticulously created by our highly trained staff in our own in-house workshop, ensuring top-quality, long-lasting products. Unlike regular hair wefts—thick and heavy—our hand-tied extensions are compact, strong, durable, and discreet. Their optimal size allows the hair to lie flat once installed. Free from harmful chemicals or toxins, they are gentle on real hair, making them an excellent choice for more permanent (sewn-in) hair solutions.
Hand weft extensions can be treated and maintained like natural hair—they can be washed, straightened, or curled to blend seamlessly. A notable advantage during installation is the absence of heat or bonding glue, enabling easy application without damaging hair. From installation to maintenance, these extensions are designed for convenience.
Care Instructions for Hand-Tied Weft Hair Extensions
-
Do not cut the width of the weft; if wider than needed, fold it instead.
-
Avoid cutting the thread along the weft edges.
-
Never brush wet hair, as it is most prone to breakage—wait until it is 90% dry.
-
As with all extensions, proper care prolongs their lifespan. Use sulfate-free and alcohol-free products to keep extensions healthy and hydrated.
-
Consult a stylist prior to installation if you have any questions.
